S闪存系列总线用于移动设备

元器件交易网讯 1月17日消息，据外媒报道，高通将把东芝最新系列串行总线闪存称作UFS标准2.0版闪存用于骁龙805芯片组。

UFS标准2.0版有两种，其中一种数据传输速度可达到1.45GB/S，另一种传输速度725MB/S。

高通将采用前者，它能够有效输出4K视频。

预计使用UFS2接口的手机和平板将在第二或第三季度上市。

Qualcomm, Toshiba to put 1.45GB/s flash serial bus in mobile devices

Qualcomm is to use flash from Toshiba incorporating the new serial connection bus called Universal Flash Standard 2 (UFS2) flash memory in its latest Snapdragon 805 chip-set.

UFS2 flash comes in two flavours one of which can transfer data at 1.45GB/sec.

The lower speed flavour transfers at 725MB/sec.

The motivation for adopting a faster bus is the effective display of 4K video.

It is expected that phones and tablets using the UFS2 bus will be on the market in Q2/Q3.
